Tug of war is an activity that can be used for sensory and emotional regulation. The pulling action on the joints and muscles acts as direct proprioception input which can be relaxing for children. Start by tying a towel around sound thing stable, like a door knob. Ask your child to slightly bend their knees and pull on the towel. Aim to pull the towel out of the knot. Continue the activity until the child is wanting to stop.
