We are proud of our history as one of the pioneering private practices in Sydney. We consider ourselves a boutique practice that offers our clients and their families a supportive, dynamic and progressive approach to their therapy.
Occupational Therapy Helping Children is only as strong as our team, so we value every member. Our team is fantastic, funny, productive and focused on helping each other out, as well as our clients. As a team member, your ideas and contribution to the team will be highly valued
We are an innovative practice which provides a range of services to our clients. In our clinical work, we work together to explore best practice, research and embrace creativity and innovation.
Our training is tailored to each of our Occupational Therapists, from one-on-one weekly supervision sessions, fortnightly team inservices and a generous annual continuing education budget. We conduct performance appraisals every 12 months. As part of our team, we will work together to develop your unique personal and professional development plan.
As a company that is committed to learning and excellence, it is important to us that our team members have career pathways and the opportunity for advancement whilst they are working with us. We have a detailed career pathway for all team members. Our pay system is one of the best around, with plenty of scope to align your efforts with remuneration.
We have an innovative onboarding process and support system. From the day you decide to join us, you will feel part of our team and will be supported, trained and guided by the people around you, every step of the way. We have an Employee Assistance Program in place and a “wellness officer” who organises our social events.
Our commitment is to share clinical excellence; our New PossibilOT's course is a testament to our commitment to educate OTs working with children and families. We can't wait to have you in the room with us. In addition to OT training, we also provide regular training on sensory processing, feeding, handwriting and a range of other issues to parents and teachers.
A word from Lisa Hughes
As the owner and your future manager, I have 30 years experience in paediatric OT and love sharing that knowledge with my team. I have always been a strong advocate for postgraduate learning for myself and my team, to ensure we are providing our clients with the most up to date knowledge and treatment techniques. I commit to continuing to improve the services Occupational Therapy Helping Children provides by being an active participant on a private practice board.
Our Practice Manager, Robyn Waddell, is warm and friendly and will help guide you through our administration procedures, step by step. We use practice management software to help make your administration requirements minimal. Our systems continue to improve so that you can get on with the parts of OT that you enjoy the most.
