Laura is currently completing her final year in occupational therapy at Australian Catholic University. She enjoys studying occupational therapy because she gets to be part of helping children grow and achieve everything they can. She is enthusiastic about finding creative and fun ways to teach children new skills.
She has previous experience as a disability support worker and through student placements has had the opportunity to work with children of all ages and their families to develop fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social skills, and emotional regulation. Through these roles she has experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. She also has spent time volunteering with children across age groups to support participation in community activities. She has been a part of OTHC social skills group program and loves being involved in sensory play group.
Outside occupational therapy, Laura loves to swim and spend time outside in the sunshine. She enjoys travelling and is always planning her next adventure!
