Charlotte is an enthusiastic OT who loves working with kids.
Charlotte studied a Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney, before discovering her passion for Occupational Therapy, which she pursued with a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra.
Charlotte’s previous experience as an OT has involved working with a variety of children to develop their fine and gross motor skills, self-care skills and play skills using the DIR/Floortime® method.
During her studies, Charlotte also gained clinical experience working at Canberra Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation ward, the University of Canberra Paediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic and at Housing ACT, which has a focus on home modifications. For Charlotte, her favourite thing about being an OT is working with kids — seeing them light up when they learn something new and knowing that she’s helping them and their families, even if it’s something as seemingly small as being able to do up their shoelaces themselves.
Charlotte particularly enjoys helping with children with their gross motor skills, handwriting, executive functioning and social skills. She helps children thrive by really getting to know each child individually and tailoring her sessions to meet their specific needs.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys getting outdoors and travelling, spending time with her friends and family, playing soccer and going snowboarding!
