The school holidays are a great time to turbocharge your child’s social, handwriting and motor skill development.
Our holiday groups for children aged 4-11 are designed to assist your child’s development in a fun and engaging social environment (while giving you a well-deserved break too!).
And for children already receiving treatment with an Occupational Therapist, our holiday groups can build upon and continue the progress they’ve been making during the term.
All of our holiday groups are run by our experienced Occupational Therapists over two to three days in both our Balgowlah and Pymble clinics.
Our new Social Skills Holiday Groups can help develop your child’s ability to think, problem solve and successfully respond to situations that require social knowledge.
Our Social Skills Holiday Groups are:
- Social Detectives (Ages 4-6)
- Social Explorers (Ages 7-9)
- Social Superflexers (Ages 10-11)
Our popular Handwriting Holiday Groups help to improve your child’s pencil grip, letter and number formations, spatial organisation of writing and writing a range of different texts.
Our Handwriting Holiday Groups are:
- Kids Korner Kindergarten (Kindergarten)
- Funky Fingers (Years 1 & 2)
Our School Readiness Holiday Group is specifically-designed to help prepare children for entering ‘big school’.
Our School Readiness Holiday Group is:
- Leaping into School (Beginning school in 2018)
Leaping into School focuses on developing the fine motor skills your child will need in Kindergarten, such as hand strength, finger dexterity, posture, pencil grip, and letter and number formations.
The group also includes a ‘Morning at School’ session, to help familiarise your child with a school-like environment and develop their self-regulation skills.
