Leona Brennan


Leona is an enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist from Ireland. She graduated from University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom with a first class Honours degree in Occupational Therapy.

Leona has worked in a variety of settings with children, from babies through to young adults. She has worked in early intervention services, mainstream and special schools as well as community health services. She has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADD, ADHD Developmental Coordination Disorder, handwriting difficulties and profound learning difficulties.

Leona has a special interest in working with children with sensory processing difficulties and she has completed her Masters level training in Ayres’ Sensory Integration. She also particularly enjoys working with children with physical difficulties including cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and brain injury.

Leona’s positive and creative personality keeps children engaged and motivated while working on their developmental skills. Leona has been in Australia for nearly a year and has already visited many beautiful places. This is her first time living in Sydney and she is looking forward to spending her weekends sampling Sydney’s cuisine and enjoying its beaches.
