Alisha Miller is a therapist who brings enjoyment and excitement to her therapy sessions.
Alisha obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) from the University of Sydney. She has been a dedicated volunteer to the Variety Children’s Charity for over 10 years, and has worked with a number of children with physical disabilities ranging from Cerebral Palsy, Amputations and children with burns. She also has experience working with children with other varying challenges and difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delay and Developmental Coordination Disorder.
Alisha has a special interest in working with children gross motor delays, and assessing and treating children with handwriting difficulties. Alisha works at our Balgowlah clinic, and at selected private schools on the North Shore. She has a great rapport with both girls and boys, and creates a fun learning environment for children of all ages. Alisha also has experience with Special Provisions Assessments for the HSC examinations.
Alisha is a qualified Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) therapist, and has completed the “Handwriting Without Tears” program from the United States.
Outside of work, Alisha enjoys playing netball in the winter and surfing in the summer. She is a former Australian and NSW representative in Surf Life Saving, and has travelled overseas numerous times with these teams.
